- In what learning environments would the technology resource I presented be appropriate?
The technology I presented would be appropriate in all classrooms, especially in science. We went over an app that students can use in a solar system unit. Students who do not have these resources available at home would need to be taken into consideration however. I think they should be made familiar with the technology so it isn't so obvious to their classmates that they don't have that available to them. I also think that it should only be a resource used in the classroom and not be used when assigning homework.
2. In what learning environments would the technology resource I presented NOT be appropriate?
This would not be appropriate to assign to use at home. There are many students who do not have access to iPads or other tablets outside of school and it would be unfair to assign homework on one and expect all students to complete it.
3. How might it be modified to be appropriate?
You could assign a handout with different stars or constellations on it and ask students to label them. They could be ones that the students have explored in the classroom with the app so that they all have the background knowledge they need to complete it.
